If you were to die today are you 100% sure you would go to HEAVEN?
There are just 3 things you need to know in order to go to heaven:
1. You need to know that you are a sinner.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23
2. You need to know that there is a penalty for that sin - Death.
For the wages of sin is death...
Romans 6:23a
The word "death" doesn't mean just dying and going to the grave. It means separation from God forever and ever in a lake of fire. This is our punishment for our sin and a debt you owe as of right now.
3. You need to know that Jesus loves you so much that He paid that penalty for you by shedding His blood on the cross for your sins, and He offers you the free gift of heaven.
But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:23b
Salvation is a gift. It's absolutely free! You can't buy it, work for it, go to church for it, or be good for it.
It's absolutely free!
In review:
- You know you're a sinner
- You realize you're lost without Jesus.
- You believe Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for your sins.
Then this is what you need to do:
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 10:13
"Whosoever" means you. We could put your name there:
For (your name) shall call upon the name of the Lord and (your name) shall be saved.
Now, if you will trust Jesus to take you to heaven when you die, just bow your head and close your eyes.
If you mean this with all your heart, pray this prayer:
Dear Jesus, forgive me of my sins and come into my heart. I trust you today, Jesus, to take me to Heaven when I die. Thank you for saving me. Amen.
